Before

Please call ahead to book your session. All sessions are prepaid and pre-booked. Cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before the session starts; otherwise the session’s fee will be forfeited. Do arrive 15 minutes (30 minutes if it is your first session with Urban Ski) before your class starts to allow time for registration and fitting for boots and skis/snowboard. To ensure you get the most out of the class, objectives and goals will be set with your group and instructor before the session begins.

Walk-ins are possible depending on the availability of the instructor and slope.

During

Depending on the group’s ability and their fitness, the instructor will split the group into 2. Groups will alternate turns on the Urban Ski Slope, approximately 30 minutes of slope time each person. The session is very intensive with constant exertion and it is crucial that every student gets sufficient rest in between. Your instructor will constantly be by your side to provide precise and instant feedback.

After

At the end of the 1-hour session, your instructor will summarise the lesson and review your performance. Your instructor will also assess your progress and recommend the next level best suited for you. You may access progression to find out which level you are at.

How The Slope Works

The Slope

The ski slope revolves continuously, similar to that of the treadmill, simulating downhill skiing or snowboarding.

The Surface Material

The surface of the slope is made from a technologically advanced nylon tufts which is constantly watered for easier sliding of skis or snowboard. This carpet requires a higher level of ski and snowboard technique than required on snow slopes. Allowing students to progress and train efficiently.

The Mirror

A mirror at the front of the slope allows skiers/snowboarders to be more aware of their posture and technique.

The Gradient & Speed

The gradient and the speed of the slope can be adjusted to suit different levels of skiers and snowboarders

The Bar

The bar at the front of the slope are used by beginners to gain balance and confidence.
